Infinite memories
A year ago, artistic duo It’s Our Playground exhibited Reconstructive Memory at Galerie Valentin. In this group show, large prints were created by superimposing and deforming dozens of exhibition views from the gallery's photographic archives. Those pieces were considered as memory interfaces, mnesic traces of the past shows. This Summer, artistic duo It’s Our Playground wants to refresh your memory with an online exploration of Galerie Valentin’s archive. In August, during the gallery’s annual holiday, Infinite Memories reflects on 18 years of exhibition documentation at 9 Rue St Gilles in Paris. Interweaving images and altering recollections of the space, the project is an iconographic journey through time.
